Abstract

The use of batteries at this time is very massive in various aspects of life, especially as a power source for electrical devices such as mobile phones, electric cars, etc. The need for fulfilling electrical energy is very important, especially a source of electrical energy that can be used in all needs and conditions, namely in the form of a mobile battery. This research will focus on designing a mobile battery that can be used in various purposes and in various terrain conditions. Charging the mobile battery can be either AC or DC electricity. There are four (4) stages in the design of this mobile battery, namely design, component identification, assembly and testing. This mobile battery has a capacity of 480 Wh with a battery voltage of 12V, 40Ah. There is also a battery temperature controller as a protection system that uses a microcontroller (Arduino), supercapacitors to overcome the need for large instantaneous currents and the use of low voltage disconnect (LVD) which serves to protect the battery from damage due to excessive discharge (overdischarge). Voltage and current stability are also a major concern in this testing phase.
