Abstract

Based on statistical data released by the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, 6.4% of the total population of lndonesia have impaired vision in accordance with the Inter-Census Population Survey. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased health-related anxiety from visually impaired people, supported by research related to health-related knowledge from visually impaired people is very low and their views on their own health are often ignored. This research took a case study at the Karya Tunanetra Peduli Bangsa Foundation which has more than 300 members of visually impaired people spread across Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Bandung. This study tries to help visually impaired people to be able to know their health status.  


The research conducted implemented the Fuzzy Sugeno method to determine health status based on health data in the form of oxygen saturation, heart rate, and temperature, by applying fuzzy rules based on health guidelines from the National Institutes of Health on standards for human body temperature, oxygen levels and heart rate. Black box method used as a way to do testing and the results of this study are in the form of applications that can produce information about the health of the visually impaired when the data is entered into the system.
