Abstract
Provision of sufficient water for chili plants is very important because chili plants are plants that are very sensitive to water, if excess water will cause root rot, and vice versa if chili plants lack water, chili plants will die of drought. So that appropriate and precise technology is needed to meet their needs. Conventional irrigation systems have not been able to provide good water needs, so smart technology is needed to meet these needs. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology is a good infrastructure for use in drip-based smart irrigation systems for irrigation systems, especially in open land irrigation. This technology is able to provide integrated information on land by dividing by cluster. So that information on the condition of the land can be obtained properly. This technology consists of a collection of sensors that are integrated with each other by using wireless as a link for each sensor node. To manage water distribution precisely and precisely, this technology uses the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm for its computing system. This algorithm will determine the distribution time of water in chili plants according to the data obtained from the sensor. This algorithm works on a centralized microcontroller module and is integrated with Solenoid valves and wireless sensor networks. The results obtained after testing this computational model are able to help monitor the need for irrigation water in chili plants with an accuracy rate of up to 96%, this condition is quite good compared to using conventional irrigation technology and drip irrigation technology without WSN.
