Abstract

Indonesia has two seasons, namely the dry season and the rainy season. When the rainy season comes, many areas will experience flooding, which can be caused by silting of rivers or heavy rainfall. To reduce the impact caused by flooding, the aim of PKM is to create an early warning tool for flooding. This tool can remind residents around the river to get ready to evacuate if the river water discharge has entered a residential area. From this technology, many people can apply it, for example, a tool that is implemented as a flood early warning using a solar cell power supply.

In this case the PKM Team will also implement a flood early warning tool with a microcontroller-based method using a PLTS power supply in the area around the river at Villa Mutiara Serpong housing, where when the rainy season comes the water discharge around the housing increases and can become a flood hazard. This tool uses the power supply from the PLTS as well as lighting, due to the condition of installing the early warning device a bit far from the PLN power pole, and it is unethical to take PLN electricity for equipment purposes.

The results of the PKM team of electrical engineering lecturers so that people can get to know more about the technology of flood warning devices and PLTS, how to install and maintain them, so they can understand if there is damage or subsequent problems.
