Abstract

The High-demand of food supply and limited land availability is one of the constraint in the agricultural industry, especially in densely populated areas such as urban areas. The hydroponic system is the development of a farming system that utilizes limited land, so that the Hydroponic System is an alternative that can help especially in the agricultural industry. Hydroponic systems generally use pumps as water supply used for plant circulation systems. The use of a pump certainly requires a source of electric power to be able to operate. Solar panels are an alternative source of renewable energy that can be used as the main supply in generating electricity for pumps to replace PLN's role in supplying electricity. In this study, a hydroponic system based on flexible solar panels will be designed as a source of electrical power where in this design solar panels with a capacity of 400 Wp are needed to supply energy consumption needs of 865.68 Watt-hour equipped with a battery with a capacity of 200 Ah as a storage of electrical energy produced by solar panels.
