Abstract

This community service program (PkM) for the 2021/2022 year of funding was carried out at Madarijul Mubtadi'in Islamic Boarding School in Rancasumur, Kopo District, Serang, Banten. Geographically, it is located in west of DKI Jakarta near Merak, Banten. The selection of the Madarijul Mubtadi'in Islamic Boarding School as the place for the PkM activities was intended to lighten electrical load of this Islamic boarding school on water pump installation. This Islamic boarding school has need for large amounts of water usage. This Islamic boarding school has students who stay at the Islamic boarding school, so they need to take a bath, and so on. In addition, this Islamic boarding school has ablution activities for prayer times per day. Therefore, this Islamic boarding school has a large amount of electricity bills caused by usage of large amounts of water. We as PkM actors installed solar panels for the operation of the water pump in this Islamic boarding school. This solar panel is main source of electricity for the boarding school water pump installation. However, this solar panel installation also does not cut off electricity connection from PLN. PLN electricity connection at the pump installation can also be easily accessed. In addition, implementation of reconfiguration of the installation of a clean water distribution system, in this activity, carried out in the form of installation equipment for installing water pumps, one of sources of which comes from solar power.
