Abstract
The intensity of sun irradiation in Indonesia is very stable, thus it must be used to maximize the growth of renewable energy, particularly solar power plants. In order for other buildings to join in the usage of renewable energy, particularly solar power plants, an examination is performed from both a technical and economic standpoint. This research uses quantitative research methods and is analyzed, then described in detail to provide a choice of power supply design with an estimated load of 187,586 kWh for a coffee shop. This solar power plant is installed with an On Grid system with a power of 18.36 kWp. It includes 34 solar panels with 2 modules arranged in parallel and 17 solar modules arranged in series. The inverter capacity used in this planning is 15 kW. The initial investment needed to build this solar power plant is IDR 217,165,500. With an interest rate coefficient of 4.25 over the life of the project of 10 years, the discounted payback period (DPP) shows that the return on initial investment of the solar power plant project in Cirebon coffee shops is less than 10 years.
