Abstract

Solar Parabolic Dish Collector is a tool used to convert solar radiation into heat energy. This research focuses on making a solar parabolic dish collector that is affordable and can function optimally. The material used for the manufacture of the solar parabolic dish collector in this experiment was a used parabolic antenna with a diameter of 1.2 meters made of stainless steel and a flat mirror as a reflector mounted on the parabolic antenna. A receiver used alumunium plate with dimension 20 cm x 25 cm. Data collection was carried out on 20, 22, 23 and 28 September 2022 with a time range between 10.00 WIB and 14.00 WIB at locations with coordinates 6.40 South Latitude and 106.80 East Longitude with the parabolic position placed horizontally. From the experiments carried out, the maximum temperature obtained was 175,860 C on September 28, 2022 at 11.48 WIB by using Arduino as Data Acquisition (DAQ).
